Entry Conditions
The TEFL Paris Certificate Course is open to adults aged 20 or over who have a university
degree or equivalent educational level, work experience or demonstrable
aptitude.
We accept native speakers (people who have spoken English since
birth) based on the strength of their CV/resume
and Application Form.
We also happily accept non-native English speakers as long as they
clearly (and honestly!) indicate their level of English and reasons
for wanting to do the TEFL Paris Certificate Course.
One of the joys of our course is the mixing of
cultures, unique in the French teaching world, where we can learn
from each other's experiences and lives. This is something we value
greatly, and indeed, the ability to be aware of, highlight and value
differences is a highly prized skill and one of the tools an
accomplished teacher should have in her or his language teaching
toolbox.
Examples of the many non-native English
speakers who have successfully completed our course include people
who:
| ◊ |
come from a country where English is widely spoken |
| ◊ |
have grown up in a bilingual family or gone to a
bilingual school |
| ◊ |
have achieved a high level of proficiency in English as
a non-native speaker
|
We normally conduct telephone interviews with non-native English speakers
or those whose nationality is not from an English-speaking country
to make sure their level of English will enable them to benefit to
the maximum from our course.
