Sab Will - Course Director
Sab
was born in Scotland but grew up near London and has been
working in English teaching in France since 1993. He obtained
the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language
Teaching to Adults) in 1994 and the Cambridge DELTA (Diploma in...) in 1997.
Sab has worked for many of
the most prestigious teaching establishments in France, such as
the British Council, Chamber of Commerce, the
Mairie of Paris, the British Institute - University
of London in Paris)
and several of the Paris universities.
He has also lived in Greece, where he jointly set up and ran a
successful
English school (frontisterio).
Sab has wide experience
of teaching all levels of general English to children and
adults, as well as being a sought-after business English trainer
and consultant working with some of the largest companies in
France such as Renault, Volkswagen, Total,
Aérospaciale, EDF, Carrefour,
France Télécom and many others.
He also runs two English teaching web sites,
Hotch Potch English
and
Will Power English, is a Cambridge
University Press author, has edited the TESOL France
magazine and is a respected reviewer of ELT titles. Sab
also enjoys speaking internationally on teaching children,
business English, and the intelligent integration of internet technologies into
the teaching of English.
One of the most stimulating and rewarding aspects of Sab's work
(he says) is training teachers at TEFL Paris.
Sab lives and breathes his passion for English teaching and also inevitably brings to his teaching
and training aspects of his other life
as a recognised Paris street photographer, abstract
artist and poet who finds endless inspiration in the everyday
sights and sounds he witnesses during his wanderings through the city, hence
the name of his artistic web site,
Paris Set Me Free.

Maya - Unknown Foreign Language Teacher
Unfortunately we are unable to give you much information about
Maya as she teaches our highly confidential unknown foreign
language sessions which trainees tell us are one of the
most memorable aspects of the TEFL Certificate course.
What we can tell you, however, is that she is a competent and
highly appreciated teacher and will help you understand just
what it's like to be a language learner again... which will
enable you to understand your own students better!
Eloise - Assistant Teacher
Eloise is a school teacher in the French national education system and gives one of the demonstration lessons (the other is given by Sab) as well as helping out on critiquing and other aspects of the course from time to time.
